Rockin’ Country Style, Volume 3

If you think today’s country artists are a bunch of posers, you’re REALLY going to think that when you hear this album of the yee hawing 40s and 50s. Just about every one of the Ten Commandments are either discussed or broken here, with material like Red Romine on “Money in the Bank” or Jimmy Ballard’s “I Want A Bowlegged Woman” cover about half right there. Cheatin’ hearts didn’t start with Hank Williams, either, as “Lanie Walker’s “Why Baby Why” or “ O Mable Where Can You Be” from Aaron Boudreaux  easily demonstrate. The mix of country, western and rock meet at the crossroads here, as Jimmy Boyd attests on “Crazy Mixed Up Blues” and Ken Marvin reminds on”Let’s Take The Long Way Home”. This is what your grandparents listen to?!?
