The classic soundtrack of the classic movie Bullitt that had the classic car chase scene with the classic Steve McQueen (how many times DID that VW show up in that sequence?!?) is now available on vinyl and digital download. There is good and bad news to that. The good news is that Lalo Schifrin composed the music; he’s the man of Mannix and Mission: Impossible fame. The short but sweet themes such as “Music to Interrogate By” and “On the Way to San Mateo” are begging to be redone in a modern jazz vein, and of course “Ice Pick Mike” and “Shifting Gears” are simply guilty pleasures. The bad news is that there are no extra pictures of THE EXTRA CLASSIC Jacqueline Bissett for the collector. What gives?!?!?
