The trio Braveheart consists of Ted Crosby/reeds, James Meger/b and Omar Amlani, and this collection of five tunes consists of fairly free improves with a hint of framework. Crosby’s subtoned tenor gasps on the title track, while most of the other songs plod along at a slow, methodical and sometimes dreary pace. Birdlike chirps mixes with eerie percussion on “Thick Stars” while drums and cymbals converse with the tenor on “How Do You Feel?”. The album is more of a mood creator of abstract thoughts than anything else.
