Thirteen originals flow together like a Raphael tapestry, with wondrous layers on notes gliding by as if Monet’s lilies were going before your very ears. Gentle and lyrical pieces such as “Love’s Return” and the reflective “Rainlight” are an ivory balm, and “On A Rainby Way” flow like a stream after a gentle rain. Lanz’s touch is sensitive yet filled with dynamism, he keeps the conversation interesting by showing different shades of light on each piece. Chopin would be green with envy.
