A wide world of sounds is delivered by Chase Morrin/p, George Lernis/p and Naseem Alatrash/cel along with guests John Patitucci/b with Farayi Malek-Heiraza/voc for a collection of 2-3 movement suites. The 3 part “Break G4S” includes some gorgeously bowed themes with tropical tones and some dark corners, and the three guests bring in joyful tones and ethereal voices for “Resurrecting the Amber Sky”. Some wondrous Iberian moments take place as Heiraza gets earthy with the vocal konnakol ideas on “Elemental” with the strings dancing along. A festival of global celebrations.
Pianist Daniel Garcia brings fiery Cuban intensity to this a lbum with his team of Michael Olivera/dr Reinier ‘El Negron’/dr and some cameo guests. Guitarist Gilad Hekselman adds ebullience to the graceful “Wonderland” while vocalists Lau Noah and Veronica Ferreiro give indie moods to “You and Me” and Andalusian passions to “La Tarara” respectively. On their own, the threesome gallops through “Gates to the Land of Wonders” and Garcia’s piano forms ripples on “A Little Immensity” with even the inclusion of a toy piano joyfully tuned works around bass and drums on the exciting “The Gathering”.
