Playing piano, organ and keyboards, Dan Siegel creates a core of DJ Ginyard/b, Oscar Seaton/dr and Lenny Castro around a rotating guitar collection of Rob Bacon, Allen Hinds, Michael Miller, Dean Parks and Michael Miller on this collection of originals. There’s a pop rock feel to the churchy “Best Foot Forward” while a dah of Nashville skyline is heard on the acoustic and yearinign “Defining Moment”. A couple of the songs, like “Roadside Attraction” and “Free Spirit” have a Steely Dan sophisticated jazz rock feel, while “Simple Things” is all out funky. Mood swings.
