Playing piano and keyboards, Michael Eckroth teams up with drummer Joel Mateo, percussionists Mauricio Herrera/Carlos Maldonado, a rotating bass team of Paul Reyes/Edward Perez/Alex Ayala and a horn section of Alex Norris/Matt Hilgenburg/tp, with Peter Brainin/ts on a collection of mostly originals. The horns soar through the tribal percussion of “Human Geography” , with Norris lyrical on the earthy “Little B’s Poem”, with Norris going post bop on “New Bomba”.
