Sound and vibes that would please both Miles Davis and Don Cornelius are sprinkled by Adamo’s “twisted hybrid” of thick electronics, urban level beats and Pimentel’s George Benson-inspired licks, as the melodic trumpet-toned line sets the beat against the synthetic heart pounding underneath Adamo’s Afro sheened delivery.
