Germany-based Silver Convention rode the disco wave in the 1970s with their big hit Save Me” and followup “Fly , Robin, Fly”. The three ladies, Linda Thompson, Ramona Wulf and Penny McLean joined together for this album produced by Silvester Levay and Michael Kunze. Their debut album was filled with well polished pieces made for the sparkle disco ball circuit with string-laden R&B bubble gum like “Always Another Girl” and “Tiger Baby”. The voices are gorgeous and upbeat, and the grooves absolutely irresistable. Eye and ear candy; don’t we all need that once in awhile? Just where is my polyester pans?
