Scott Robinson plays a wide range of horns, from tenor sax, alto clarinet, tarogato, trumpet and slide cornet on a free and flailing session with Matthew Shipp/p, Gerald Cleaver/dr and Kevin Ray/b, The exotic tarogato is dark and dreamy on “At The V Ery Least” while the tenor wails on “Decisions Have Already Been Made” and hovers for “To Be Honest”. Shipp lurks on “Excuse My Absence” and gets Monkish with Rogins’s brass mouthpiece on “Word and Respect”. Cleaver hits the cymbals hard on “Word and Respect” and crashes on “Somebody Just Go In, Please”. Did someone call a policeman to direct traffic?
