Rich toned guitarist Skip Grasso delivers some clean and fresh originals with his team of Harvie S/b, Anthony Pocetti/p-org-key and Billy Drummond/dr on this postmodern collection of tunes. Grasso’s touch is clear, clean and unpretentious as he works well with the bassist on”Belew’s Knot” and glides over Drummond’s calypso’d beat on “Don’t Forget”. Pocetti’s B3 simmers on the soulfully grooveof “Three Simple Truths” while the keyboards work well on the graceful “Harvie Livingston’s Seagull”. Grasso is romantic with Pocttti’spiano on “Canto Bello” with the band flexing its muscles the most on the 6/8 rollicking “For Lou Lou, Where Ever You Are”. The band has a knowing sense of interplay and sounds like they know a deal about teamwork.
