Composer Tyler Kline brings together an anthology of 50 original compositions, all based on various fruits, bringing in a bus load of pianists to interpret the produce. The harvest of pieces are all fairly short and concise ranging from just under a minute to just over 3, so not allowing the pianst to stretch out too far, but still able to peel of the skin to get to the pulp. Agnieszka Zik is complex on the succulent “Cherry Tomato” while Logan Barrett is delicious on “Tamarind”. Megasari Honggokusuma hits the pit on “Peach” and is crisp during “Granny Smith”. Ann DuHamel is tart on “Blackberry” and sweet during “Kiwi”. Grace Huang savors the flavor of “Persimmon” and spits out the seed on the juicy “Horned Melon”. A harvest of sounds and styles
