The duo of Charles Cozens on piano, accordion and vocal with Colin Maeir blowing through the oboe, harmonica and playing the bass takes you on a fun and personal journey on a series of tunes. Augmented occasionally by strings, and interspersed with personal reminiscences, the tunes range from a Borscht Belt “Klezmer Fun” to a Gardel inspired “Tango la Noce”. The two go wild on the frantic “Flight of the Bumblebee” and “Tiger Rag” while showing a more impressionistic side on a “Claire De Lune”ish “Somewhere Under the Rainbow”. All that’s missing is a guest appearance by Shecky Greene!
