A fusion fest is led by guitarist Scott T. Jones, as he teams up with alumni from Stanley Clarke/Allan Holdsworth in keyboardist Steve Hunt, Scott Henderson drummer Archibald Ligonniere and electric bassist Romain Labaye in this hard hitting set of originals.
Jones has a tone similar to Henderson, showing a flash of heavy metal on the Led Zeppelin inspired “Shut Up And Dance” and rocking out on “Atavachron”. Ligonniere hits hard throughout, getting kinetic on “Human Music” and upbeat for “Fioki’s Shipyard” with Hunt going mano a mano with the leader as they gallop along on the spark flying “Interlocking Wheels”. Hunt and Jones show their softer and lyrical side on a lovely duet “Time Is An Infinite Field” while the band gets dark and dramatic on “The Long Night”.
