Bob Malone sings and plays a wide variety of keyboards on this album that sounds like you’re turning the knob on a 1970s radio in your Pinto. He’s Dylanesque on the rocking “Sound of a Saxophone” and then does some nice work on Mr. Zimmerman’s own “Tangled Up In Blue”. There’s a James Taylor-mellow “Good People”, a funky town of “Oh Well” and a gospel grooved “My Friends And Eye” along with a stomping take of Creedence Clearwater’s “Bad Moon Rising”. What? No Steely Dan?
