Violinist Adam Baldych brings together a quintet that includes pianist Anna Greta and trumpeter Paolo Fresu on a collection of soft and misty originals. Baldych’s strings yearn with Greta on “Stars” and gives Asian harmonics to the hand pulsated “Birds” and “Wish”. Fresu is most dramatic on “Open Sky” and muted on the folksy “I Remember”, guided by the clippety clopped swing. Baldych cascades on the traditional sounding “Teodor” and gives elegiac musings with Greta for “Grace”. Soft dashes of muted colors.
