Three discs of fairly free and spontaneous improvisations are produced by the 22 member Le GGRIL orchestra and/or/with Quatour Bozzini string quartet. Yes, there are song titles, and yes there are composers, but the fact of the matter is that the first disc includes multiple moments of ambient strings and woodwinds, puffy sighs on the saxes and intuitive vibes and drums. Disc two includes electric guitar in a loose blues, trombones plunging lower that Kim Kardashian’s neckline and turbulent pushing and pulling of horns. The last disc has drums asunder, muted horns, and scratches on cymbals, strings and scurrying percussion akin to animals running for cover in the early morning. Don’t expect transcriptions of this one.
