A mix of field recordings with David Haney’s ensemble of piano with a team of Bernard Purdie/dr, Dave Storrs/perc and the Circadian Consort make for a quixotic mix of ambience and free form instrumentation. There are four major pieces, ranging from 2:32 on the atmospheric “A Word From Kristina and Rupert from Jan 2021″ to the marathon “Circadian World Clock 2019” of 26:22 with voices, reeds and brass melding with drums, percussion, didgeridoo and buzzing background. Eerie piano melds along for “Circadian World Clock 2020”, but you have to ask yourself what the reason for this album is for. Is this how John Lomax started?
