For her first official “live” album, Norah Jones collections songs from her tours of 2017-19 from France, Italy, Brazil, Argentina and the US with her team of Jesse Murphy/b, Jesse Harris/g, Marcelo Costa/perc, Jorge Continentino/fl, Pete Remm/org, Christopher Thomas/b and Brian Blade/dr. The songs show her in a casual and relaxed mood throughout, breathy on Hank Williams’ “Cold, Cold Heart” and soft for “It Was You”. She’s absolutely dreamy with piano and drums on “I’ve Got To See You Again” and floats like a haze for “Just A Little Bit”. With a chorus, she’s Nashville homespun for “I’ll Be Gon” and romantic on the folky “Those Sweet Words”, with nary a bump in the road for her large ‘hits” like “I Don’t Know Why”. Understated class.
