Post bop moods akin to ESP-era Miles Davis is delivered by the slithering Worm team of Andy Weyl/p, Keith Oxman/ts, Paul Romaine/dr, Ron Miles/ct and Mark Simon/b on a toe tapping collection of originals. Miles brass is clear as he glides over Romaine’s sticks on “Bu’s Box” and is perky with Oxman on the bopping “ The Chimento Files”. Weyle is elegiac with Oxman on “Joaquin” and does some nice Spherical angles with Simon on the quirky “Wat If All”.
