Warm and pastoral moods are created on piano and keyboard by Korean pianist Sukyung Kim, who leads a simpatico team of Ethan Helm/as, Paul JuBong Lee/g, Luca Alemanno/b and Jongkuk Kim/dr on drums. The five tunes are warm and impressionistic, with her keyboard getting dreamy on “California” and genteel over the nimble work of drums and guitar on “Summer Days”. Helm’s alto flows over the blue piano on the soft title track, with some Debussyesque harmonics pushed along by Lee’s guitar on the crystalline “Stargazers”. Tender sparkles.
