Sounds like a modern version of Blondie are created by the team of vocalist Berit Ulseth along with Johnny Iguana/p-key, Michael Caskey/dr-perc-key and Zach Verdoorn/b-g. The tunes are all originals, with a wide variety of messages, while a delicate echoed piano/vocal duet on “The Sun Will Fool You” the most moving of the collection of themes. Iguana’s piano gives a touch to Billy Joel on “You Drummers Keep Breaking My Heart” and a dash of Dr. John gets gritty for “Grandkids Wave Bye-Bye”. The team sounds big and bold with Ulseth cooing and pleading like Deborah Harry on “Bad Babe Losin’ Touch” and the stark “I Swear To God, I Will”. The band sounds like they are on stage, with an unpolished and “live” in your face sound. A return to the New Wave?
