Guitarist Guillaume creates quiet reflections with Nino Wenger/as, Jim Funnell/p, Gui Duvignau/b and Josh Bailey/dr on this collection of (mostly) originals. Muller’s tone is mostly clean and cool, gentle with Bailey’s brushes on “Lullaby for a Copybara” and calm on the reclining “Blue Ballad.” Delicate strings deliver a sweet “Alone Together” with the team bopping to Wenger’s gliding alto for “Brains” and riding to Duvignau’s pulse for “Flying Bison.” Subtle swing.
