Nick Tucker plays bass, brother Joel is on guitar, and with saxist Sean Imboden, drummer Brian Yarde and a handful of guests they create a gracious collection of impressionistic moods. The ethereal voice of Elena Escudero joins with some guitar effects for a thoughtful “Warm Heart” with tenor saxist Walter Smith III puffing with Imboden for a bopping jig of “When Souls Meet.” Imboden’s sax is breathy on the soft “October Third” and he pulsates with Joel on “Lifely.” Nick’s bass teams with Ellie Pruneau’s piano and Joel’s guitar an a gorgeously melancholic “Two Parts.” Calm waters are stirred by Nick on “Heavy Drop” and the team gently prances to Amanda Gardier’s alto sax on “Sundancing.” Strong brush strokes of water colors.
