Australian bassist/vocalist Georgia Weber leads a trio with guitarist Kenji Herbert and drummer Nathan Ellman Bell through fourteen originals that meld between folk, indie and jazz. She shows her feel for the bass on a wondrous “Interlude” and a nicely pulsed “So Quite A New Thing” that has Herbert in a Johnny Smith flavored mood on guitar. Weber’s voice is introspective on “The Thoughts That Give Me The Creeps” and edgy with the team in its most rocking mood on the electric take of “Good Morning Heartache.” A folksy feel of “Pretty Good Day,” slightly swinging “Eleven O’Clock” and droplets of strings for “Recover Or Repair” reveal a lady with the spirit of a troubadour.
