Recorded in concert back in May, 2018 at NYC’s The Stone, this album has jazz legend Dave Liebman on soprano sax, tenor sax, piano and wooden recorder as he teams with multi instrumentalist of exotic things that go bump in the night Adam Rudolph and drummer Hamid Drake.
The songs are high on exotic world wide atmospheres, with spacey open skies and stars with recorder on “Becoming” and free form tenor veering over the percussive obstacle course on “Flux.” Drake lets loose on “Continuim” with Liebman searing on tenor sax while an Orson Wellian zither teams with voice on “Formless Form.” Lots of sounds from the roving caravan, with Liebman adding moods from Monument Valley to the Sahel desert.
