OK! I’ll admit it! I’ve always been sucker for guitar duets. From Eddie Lang and Lonnie Johnson to John Renborn and Stephan Grossman to Pat Metheny and Jim Hall and whoever I’ve left out. There’s a nice one that’s were self composed by the guitarists and inspired by the City of Savannah GA. The music is almost as charming as the city’s many squares, with a cozy and lyrical feel to songs like “City Market” and “Street Fair.” A lazy swing pulses through “Bull St. Scramble,” while a bluesy back porch mood is created on “Guitar Bar.” The gents are uncluttered on the flower delicate “Sevaan” and have a good time contrasting the high and low strings on “Twilight Gardens.” Guitar music that is as charming and refreshing as sitting at a park bench with an old soul.
