Chango Spasiuk, Maurece El Medioni & More: Latin Noir

If you’ve got the blood that gets hot when Latin music is played, you’re in for a real fiesta here. Subtitled “Everything Happens On The Beach,” this disc  puts together various passionate and romantically agonizing love songs from Cuba, Argentia, Colombia, the Mediterranean and even Nueva York. Authentic folk music that includes Argentine accordion (“Tierra Colorada”) romantic vocal harmonies (“Rumba  Para Los Olu Bata” or gentle guitar (“Dejame Me Que Te Lleve” takes you on musical journeys through small villages, smoky clubs and moonlit nights. Some earth trumpet and guitar are accompanied by sensuous rhythms on “Runidera” while a dreamy lilt sashays across the room on “La Negra Tomasa” . This is not music for Las Touristas, but for Los Locales, and you’ll LOVE it while you sip your village coffee.
