Guitarist, B3er and singer James House delivers two different shots of the Southern Comfort sounds of The Blues Cowboys on this album. The Side A band has House with Will Kimbrough/g, Mike Brignadello/b, Eamon McLoughlin/fid and Crash Jones/dr while Side B has House and Jones with Lou Toomey/g, Todd Sharp/g and Michael Bradford/b as the members. Nevertheless, the mood stays the same throughout, as House’s rough and ready voice and strutting Strat deliver ten blues boogies and rockers. Some nice slide work mix with House’s Paul Rodgers-inspired voice on “Jail House Blues” and the funky rumbler “Boomerang.” A bit of funky backbeat mix slinky guitar riffs and solos on”Ain’t No Way” and the team rocks hard on “Moving On Over.” Some acoustic strings add folk atmosphere on “Gone Again” while some moody shadows create a dark shadow on “Good Love” and shuffling “Well Ran Dry.” Leather jeans are riding the Harleys on this one.
