The two sax team of Ingo HIpp/as and Sam Comerford/ts create progressive sounds with Laurent Meteau/g, David Helm/b and Matthew Jacobson/dr on this edgy collection of originals. The horns are dreamy and float weightlessly on the breathy “In the Dumps” while elliptical effects and electronics make things tricky on “Sonic Complete” and “Hits 100 011 stiH.” Helm and Jacobson drive like demons on “Monochrome” and they stomp with staccato’d horns on the bopping “Bad Trash Fish” while shadows close out the album on “Abeillmmmost.” Angular swing.
