Lynne Miles/voc-p-g and Lynne Hanson/v-g lead a team of Kevin Breit/g-mand, Dave Draves/key-vib, Peter Von ALthen/dr, Steve Clark/b, Keith Glass/g and Don Cummings/B3 through a mix of folksy rock originals. The ladies create some rich harmonies, and they come off like a female version of early Eagles on pieces such as the thoughtful “Cost So Much,” “Heavy Lifting” and the twangy “Recipe For Disaster.” A bit of jazz grooves gives a hint to the sounds of Joy of Cooking on “Cold Front” and the shadow-mooded “Blue Tattoo,” with an ability to boogie displayed on “Halfway to Happy.” The songs all have thoughtful messages, with their wispy voices adding flowing drapery to the eerie tale of “Dark Waltz.” Burrito Sisters?
