The award winning vocal group Lady Antebellum (have never understood the name with two guys and one girl) deliver an exciting concert here in Little Rock Arkansas as part of their highly successful North American tour. The Nashville-based team of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood perform energetic and enthusiastic versions of popular material like “I Run to You,” “We Owned the Night” and “American Honey.” The melding of voices on songs like “Just a Kiss” or “Need You Now” shows a rare quality during these days of groaners and whiners. As far as instrumental chops are concerned, Dave Haywood plays everything with strings except a marionette as he proves that the hand is quicker than the eye throughout the 90 minute show. The bonus material is quite enjoyable as well, as it shows a different side of the band, performing material from the Doobie Brothers’ “Black Water” to Aerosmith’s “Sweet Emotion.” A winning combination of artistry and popularity.
