The team of Wally Schnalle/dr, Hristo Vitchev/g and Dan Robbins/b get together for a fun frolic that head fakes to jazz and leans to rock. Vitchev’s electric work gets assertive on the groove pieces like “Roses Are Drugs” and “Spun.” Schnalle develops some hip underlying patterns for “Moonbridge” and the band gets into an R&B feel on soulful stirrings during “North Road” and “Infected.” The focus here is more on creating a pulse, and sometimes it rocks and other times it swings. They will get the crowd on its feet quickly, no matter which they emphasize in concert.
