Cedric Hanriot uses his piano, synthesizers and Wurlitzer like paint brushes as he teams with Bertrand Bertrand Beruard/b and Antonin Violot/dr for a mix of 18 “sound designs”. Most of the tunes have a modern R&B, hip-hoppings feel, with rapping vocals by Tony Moreau on “A Luminous World” and “La Source” and some peppy sax work by Braxton Cook on “A Creative Mind”. Soweto Kinch raps out “Ego Chase” and the Hanriot creates a funk fest on the kinetic “ Echoes of Creation” and “Universal Energy”. Where’s the light show?
