Gorgeous gentle tapestries are sewn by nylon string guitarist Itay Sher and bassist Yosef Gutman Levitt,as the two (with occasional additional reeds and orchestra by Gilad Ronen)create a soft pastel collection of sounds. There’s a plaintiff folk feel to pieces like “Kremenchoger Movement I” and the prancing “II”, with Gutman bowing lyrically on “Nigun Gaagium Movement I”, and forming a waltzing pulse on “”II”. A lovely use of space predominates the album, most relaxingly on “Rain Melody”, while gracious pickings float on ”Sher Sha’alu Shalom Yerushalayim”. Tender touches.
