Playing piano and Fender Rhodes, Jacob Christoffrsen forms a trio with Thomas Fonnesbaek/b and Rasmus Kihlberg/dr from a collection of mostly standards. He does a rich solo read of the Gaellic classic “Danny Boy”, with his Rhodes on a clever “Pardon My Friends”. Kihlberg hits the high hat on a galloping “Lost IN Rio” while playing volleyball with the ledr on “Excuse My Blues”. The team shows how to dig a trench on the rivulets of “Playgound” and “Pardon My Friends” while they prove they can lay back a bit on the mellow toned “Country”. Trio treasures.
