Pianist Uriel Herman teams with cellist Maya Belsitzman for a collection of chambered beauties. The two create a wide range of moods, with Stravinsky-like agitation on “Dance of the Blinds” and some piano workings on the Debussy side of the spacious “Echo Of Regrets”. Pizzicato’d strings and dainty steps take place on “Sandbox” and Belsitzman’s cello leads on the rustling “On A Boat”, with some Old World harmonies bowed out for “The Naked Streets”. The two create gentle yearning tapestries of tones.
