Rocking blues are delivered by the blue plate special of Glenn Marais/g-voc, Manny DeGrandis/b-voc, Jesse Karwat/key-voc and Jeff Saulnier/dr. Marais’ guitar gets some nice sliding done on “It All Went DownN” and provides tasty licks for the title tune. Some riffs hinting at the Doobie Brothers bring back the 70s on “Pink Lemonade” and “Love, Sweet Love” and the fingers are snapping on “the soulful “Love Denied”. DeGrandis’ piano strides right on the lead into “Superfunk” and bounces for “ Professor Day”, with thick guitars and on the beat grooves in abundance. Shuffling down the road.
