Possessor of one of the beefiest tones on tenor, Eric Alexander plays to his strenthc wit ha core team of Rick Germanson/p, Alexander Claffy/b and Jason Tiemann, with a few guests on some of the tracks. Stan Wetering brings in his tenor to help dig into a big sounding “Big G’s Monk” and Jed Paradies’s flute glides with guitarist Rale MIcic on the waltzing “Serenade To A Cuckoo”. Alma Micic’s dreamy voice oozes for “Evergreen” . Alexander himself goes into a modal trance with a Tynerish Germanson on “After The Rain” and fills the room on a bel canto “But Beautiful”. Why can’t everyone sound like this?
