Vocalist Tony Lindsay is featured on this album dominated by standards and Stevie Wonder. The band of Michael O’Neill/ts-ss-bcl, Erk Jekabson/tp-fh, John R. Burr/p, Dan Feiszli/b, Jason Lewis/dr and Omar Ledezma-Brian Rice/pec are upbeat and in a Latin mood for Linday’s rich delivery of “Lovely Day” and “Pastime Paradise”. O’Neill Is earthy with the vocalist on “I Can’t Help It’ and Lewis lays down a military pulse for a dark “Bird Of Beauty”. A Blue Note-y read of “But Not For Me” has Lindsay loosen his collar, and “Another Star” features some sauntering vocals and solos. A Latin lover!
