Leo Lyons Hundred Seventy Split: Movin’ On

Bassist Leo Lyons form a power trio with Joe Gooch/g-voc and Damon Sawyer/dr on a collection of blues-rocking originals. The band has a feel the is akin to Cream and Aerosmith, with tones of catchy licks as on “Walkin in the Devil’s Shoes” and the dramatic “Black River”. Ther’s a lot of time to boogie, as the team shuffles through “It’s So Easy To Slide” and “Mad, Bad and Dangerous” with some swampy slithering on “The Road Back Home”. Eight to the bar, straight up.
