Pianist Aaron Lehrian teams up with Stefan Klein/dr and Stan Piper/b for some upscale trio originals. He’s got a rich melodic touch throughout, as on the lovely “Iroha” and the graceful “Why Do The Stars Fade?” while creates a haunting mood on the Spartan “Whispers of a Sleepless N ight”. Piper digs in with Klein on the bouncy “Word Forgotten” and gets some spaceon the buoyant title tune, with the leader laying down a relentless groove on “Time’s Knockin’ At The Door”. Music for the uptown crowd.
