The humming Hammond B3 is in good hands with Tony Monaco, cruising in a trio with guitarist Zakk Jones and drummer Reggie Jackson through a series of originals. The team hums like a V8 as they shuffle through “One For Pat (Martino) with Jones delivering some lyrical lines, while the guitarist wacka wookas like he’s using Afro Sheen on the R&Bish “Uprooted”. Monaco boogaloos with Jackson the snappy title tune” and the three turn into Latin loves for “My Lil’ Rosie Girl”. The three stick to your ribs on the thick “Da Daddy” and mix sweet and sour sauce for “Sailboat”. A blue plate special!
