Kivaner creates a sonata’d intro to set up the leader’s bel canto “ Yesterday’s Tomorrow” while delicate around Odman’s cymbals on “Ever You Need Me”. The rhythm team is air tight on the stop-start “Fluffy Cloud” and they waltz with style on “Do Dat”.
