Oz Noy & Andrew Synowiec: Recreational Substance

LA guitar masters and regulars at the famed Baked Potato Andrew Synowiec and Oz Noy give you a feel of a night at the iconic club, jamming on their own material with Hadrien Feraud/b and Marvin “Smitty” Smith/dr on this fun and rocking set.

You get a dash of Average White Band on the chunky and funky “Big City”, and some fun wah wah walking for “Burn That Bridge”. Smith digs in a deep rivulet on “Kuffle Shuffle” and the riffs are flying on “I Don’t Know Why”. Besides electric joys, the gents get into some spacey fusion on “The Royal You” and pastoral on the pretty “Half Romantic” with graceful acoustic sounds on the tasty “Brothers”. The band ends with a blitzkrieg on the dark jam of “101 Blues”, with each solo a conversation of joy and  not a simple mindless chop fest. Twelve strings of joy.
