Playing a variety of harmonicas, Guy Belanger creates almost as many moods with a team of Rob MacDonald/g, Michel Duour/dr, Marc-Andre Drouin-Alec McElcheran/b, Claude Fradette/g, Bruce Cameron/p-key and Nanette Workman-Sylvie Desgroseilliers/voc. The result is that sometimes Belanger takes you to Chicago for some hard hitting blues as on”King Bee” or “”Do I Move You” with Guy or Sylvie belting out the lyrics alongside some searing guitar. Other times the team is swampy on “Bayou’s Ride” and Dufour taps into his inner Gene Krupa on”Duck Soup”. Belanger has a rich and thick sound, working well on the optimistic “The Sun Will Rise” and complementing Nanette Workman on Au Bout Du CHemin”. A warm breeze.
