Guitarist and vocalist Greg Sover takes his Jimi Hendrix pills for this album with Jim Salamone/dr-eg, Kyle Perrilli/lspst, Brad Hinton/lpst, David Palan/b, Kenny Aarons/b and others in an Experienced mood. Sovers own songs have the vintage Hendrix sound, and he covers a bunch of his material as well, with Billy Cox even producing the hard hitting “Remember”. There is a dash of rural folk moods as well to keep the album from being imitative, as on the noir “Dark House” and “One Way Train”. The heads bang on “Manic Depression” and hit hard on “Freedom Part 2”. More love than confusion.
