Lasse Morck: Imagine Places No One’s Probably Ever Been

Bassist Lasse Morck has his compositions interpreted by the team of Jonas Due/tp, Ludvig Samuelsson/as-bs and Snome Kirk/dr on this collection of post bopping pleasures. The album has a vintage 50s and 60s feel with a Latin tine for Due’s rumpet on “The Golden City” and an old timey two stepper for  “The Fletcher’s Blues”. Morck’s bass drives under Samuelsson’s baritone on the dreamy “The Moon” with some nice relaxed bop for the horns on “PYthia (The Oracle)”. Finger popping time.
