Soft and introspective moods are formed by acoustic guitarist Dominic Miller, as he’s joined by Jacob Karlzon/p-key, Nicolas Fiszman/b and Ziv Ravitz/dr on this album of quietudes. There are moments of Mediterranean delicacies as on the gentle “Clandestin” and soft flutter of “Open Heart” with Ravitz’s brushes allowing the slow undulations of “Cruel But Fair” and the cymbals guiding through the folksy “All Change”. Fiszman and Ravitz throb a pulse on “Vaugines” and the sticks snap on a winsome “Altea” along with the strings getting a bit of a pinche, while Karlzon hovers on “Lone Waltz”. Miller goes solo on an introspective “Mi Viejo”, and most of the tunes keep the ideas short and concise, making for a concise mix of pastels.
