Drummer Tim Carman brings up a humming Hammond trio with organ man Ken Clark and guitarist Steve Fell through a greasy session of blues and boogie. He shows his wares on his spot light of a title track, rumbling and simmering, while with the band snapping into a groove on the double timed “Scoochie”. Fell taps into his inner Grant Green for some tasty lines on the easy shuffle f “Insomnia” while Clark wails like a carney barker on the boogie-ing “Sonnymoon For Two”. The team is tasty as a Hot Fudge Sunday on “Not A Tear Driftin’ with an climax that is as bel canto as anything Puccini put together. A dry rib rub joy.
